Latin and Ballroom Dance Classes

Welcome to Shall We Dance, where our ethos is to encourage and inspire all you potential dancers out there to get on the dance floor and enjoy the many wonderful benefits of Latin and Ballroom dancing!

Shall We Dance is the result of a collaboration between professional Latin and Ballroom dancer, choreographer and teacher, Sergiy Bondarenko and company director and communications and events professional, Anne Power. 

Perfect for those with little or no ballroom experience, our Latin and Ballroom dance classes are relaxed and friendly and you don’t need a partner to join. 

If you are interested in learning the basics of a variety of Latin and Ballroom dances and how to dance them socially, then this is the class for you. 

We will teach you the steps in the most popular Ballroom and Latin dances and from our classes you will learn: 

• The basics of Standard Ballroom Dances - Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Quickstep

• The basics of Latin Dances - Cha Cha, Samba, Rhumba, Jive

• The techniques of leading and following

Once you’ve been with us for a while you can progress on to our intermediate classes and continue your fun learning experience.

Classes located in Southampton and Winchester areas.

Private lessons are an ideal way to boost your dance skills and your dance confidence. 

Whether you take them alongside a group class or you want to learn and progress at your own pace, these individually tailored sessions help you get the best out of your learning experience. We aim to help you improve in an encouraging and motivating environment.

You book your private lessons in advance to suit your schedule, and we do everything we can to ensure you can fit your dancing around even the busiest calendar.

For those who have caught the dance bug we offer our Shall We Dance ProAm experience. 

As a ProAm student and competitor your lessons are tailored to your individual level and needs, teaching you excellent technique or refining your existing technique, developing interesting and challenging routines across the ten Latin and Ballroom dances and preparing you for competitions in the way that works best for you.  

We offer our students the opportunity to compete in the ProAm events around the UK and all over the world. 

You could find yourself dancing with our highly experienced dance professionals as close to home as Blackpool or Bournemouth or as far afield as Moscow or Miami.

And of course we offer advice and guidance on costume, hair and makeup so you look the part too.

At Shall We Dance we offer wedding dance lessons with beginners and nervous performers firmly in mind. We help you dance with poise and confidence with a little bit of grace and elegance thrown in.

We work with you to chose your first dance music if you haven’t already chosen it and choreograph a routine to suit the music and the occasion, but most importantly to suit you. 

Shall We Dance also offers wedding dance lessons in the privacy of your own home if you prefer. Learning at home offers a safe friendly environment to learn a routine at your own pace. The added convenience of having us come to you, helps save time in the hectic build-up to your wedding day.

With performances and workshops, Strictly style events and team competitions across  the full range of Latin and Ballroom dances from the elegant waltz and the smooth foxtrot to the free-spirited salsa or the joyous jive, our focus is on making sure everyone has fun and you get exactly what you want from your event.

At Shall We Dance we sit down with you and plan how to make your ideas a reality. Or you can leave the ideas to us!  We do the thinking, then with you we plan what we can do to achieve the result you want from your event.
